2024 / Technical Report Writing Training
Role: Training Facilitator
In this role, I was part of a team appointed by Eskom to conduct a series of training sessions on Technical Report Writing. The training comprised a series of intensive in-person workshops, seminars, and group activities. The sessions I presented included Post-Modern Writing, How To Structure the Content of A Report, Finding Your Writing Voice, and several other activities on other aspects of technical report writing.

2024 / Series of Mini Reports
Role: Report Writer & Editor
In this role, I was part of a team appointed by the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) to compile a series of mini-reports for local municipalities. Each report focused on a specific project conducted at the municipal level for the purposes of education and spreading awareness.
2022 / Dissertation Edit
Role: Research Consultant & Editor
In this role, I was appointed by Phindile Msomi to proofread and edit her Master's dissertation. This involved considering the use of language and ensuring the proper use of grammar. I also restructured the literature review and verified the research outputs. Ms. Msomi won the award for best dissertation.

Dataworld appointed me to compile the summary report of their baseline evaluation project for a future impact evaluation on the Department of Human Settlements' "Upgrading of Informal Settlements Programme (UISP)".

Role: Editor & Research Consultant
For this project, I was appointed as an editor and research consultant. I checked the validity of all research outputs and was tasked with interpreting the quantitative information that was collected. I also constructed a Theory of Change (TOC) model to enhance the interpretation of the research outputs.

Role: Editor & Consultant
In this appointment, I was responsible for editing and proofreading Dr. Makakavhule's thesis. This also involved looking at the coherence and quality of the research outputs and the overall layout.

These literature reviews formed part of two projects led by Dr. Schoonraad at Metroplan. I was tasked with collecting and collating research into a coherent literature review.

2020 / Master's Thesis

This is my mini-dissertation in partial fulfillment of my Master's degree in Research Psychology. It explored the political and social dimensions of students' experiences of place and space on campus.

2019 / PhD Thesis Edit
2019 / Focus Group & Research Report
In conjunction with CSIR.
Role: Team Leader & Co-Author
In this project, I was the research leader for a team that assisted the CSIR with a research project that examined water-use behaviours. This involved organizing and recruiting participants for the focus group and transcribing the discussion. It also involved drawing broader conclusions and writing a final report.

In this capacity, I was appointed as a desktop research assistant and fieldworker. This involved observations and surveys in the Hatfield area and general research on City Improvement Districts.
